Astanga Yoga is a system of Hatha yoga, which consists of six series, each progressing in difficulty. The first series or primary series is a set sequence of postures meant to build strength, realign and detoxify your body as well as your mind. This is the series you will work on with Keith. While each person progresses differently, those who remain committed will equally gain flexibility, strength and stamina to the body and mind.
This system is not for the faint of heart and does take a commitment to learn, so if you’re looking for an extremely gentle or restorative yoga program, this may not be for you. It is the chosen yoga of many celebrities such as Madonna, Sting, Meg Ryan, Gwyneth Paltrow, and the list goes on and on . . . . . .
